Can She Resurrect the Blog?

Well, I'm back.  I'm writing a special post in honor of my parents entering the MTC tomorrow.  That's right, the MTC!!  Isn't that exciting?  They are going to be missionaries in the Roseville, CA mission, and so I thought that one thing I could do to show my support would be to resurrect my poor, old blog!   I'm going to give it a go, so here goes...my plan at this point is to try and write on Sundays.   I'm very proud of you, Mom and Dad!!

(The above picture is proof that they really are there!  My mom posted it on Facebook, and I thought it'd fit with this post...)

They came to visit us the week before Thanksgiving, and literally brought a truck full of stuff for us.  At one point a while back, I believe my mom and I were talking about what they would end up doing with her baby grand piano while they were gone and I said something along the lines of, "It's too bad you couldn't get it to me.  I have a big living room for it now and could babysit it for you..."  Well, kudos to Mom and Dad, they made it happen!  It was amazing if you ask me, but they did some online research to make sure they could load it up properly, bought a piano board, rented a Budget truck, and drove for three days like truckers to get it here!  Anyway, they were very glad to arrive I think, and they also were so glad to meet the not-so-little Michael.  He was also happy to be met!

My kids will be your best friend if you have an Iphone...
And this is why I don't get a lot of pix of all the kids...

Sara loved the piano immediately...and picking out lots of things while we were doing lots of shopping, including this dress...she's only in school in the morning, so she got more time with Gma and Gpa...and so she's in more pictures!

 Mom, Dad, and Michael-roni...

And with me, too...
Thanks for making the time for us, and good luck on your new adventure!  We love you!

Hot tub Baby!

I haven't posted in a very long time, and I have lots to update, but for now I just thought I'd share this picture for your viewing pleasure:

Okay, okay, I'll share...

So, Michael is one month and a day, and I am ready to begin joining the real world again--maybe. I have been trying to savor every moment of the new baby stuff, so I apologize for the neglected blog, along with many other neglected things...

Anyway, I have a ton of pictures to post, so I better to get to explaining them! They are in order, so here is your tour of Michael's first month! Sara has just been so in love with him and wanting to hold him all the time. She thought the mitten things on his hands were funny and came out with her own version.

Even if Daddy is holding him, she wants in!

Okay, so I thought they were in order, but this next one was right when we brought him home.

And my AMAZING friend Tonya makes these amazing cookies, and I hinted that they sounded amazing, so she brought me some!! And with the blue M&M's to celebrate the little man--they were so good! We were very lucky with so many people helping us out with the kids and meals, and on and on. I didn't get pictures of hardly anything, but anyway THANKS to everybody!

Here are the kids with their gifts "from" the baby. Jared told them about the special book that they bring around at the hospital for the baby to pick presents for their siblings (I don't know how he came up with this). They were very excited!

I had to get a picture of the flower arrangement Jared's fam had sent to me in the hospital--I loved them so much and was so surprised to get them!

How cute is this little "Captain Adorable" outfit? I had to get pictures since it only fit for five minutes!

I love looking at newborn photo shoots, so here was my attempt to get some of those kinds of shots...

And we made breakfast in bed for Daddy for Father's Day! We love you, Jared!!!!!

And here's something John brought home from school.

I asked my Mom to send a hooded bath towel, and she also sent some shirts for the big kids--they were excited! Thanks, Mom!!

And Sara's baby needed some soothing I guess.

This was too cute, Sara pulled out this family picture she drew a while ago and updated it with the baby! Aw!

Burrito baby!

And see how he's chunking up? At his one month appt, he was already 12 lbs, which puts him in the 96th percentile! See why I had to savor every moment? I knew it was flying by, and I feel like he's already so much bigger! He's about out of the 0-3 mo. size already.

And I wanted to get some pictures with the BEAUTIFUL blanket Jared's mom made, so here is the baby officially one month old. Holly made this and a sweater and hat that are total treasures, and Grandma Tischner also sent an adorable sweater. I am so in awe of the amazing knitting they can do--they've tried to teach me, but I couldn't even handle a pot holder. Sigh. Thanks, Mom and Grandma Tischner!! I'll post more pictures with the sweaters soon!

So, does he look different in this photo shoot compared with the one when he was like 10 days?

I can't believe it has been a month already! We are all so enamored with our little Michael! We practically fight over who gets to hold him. He's totally perfect, although he seems to have tummy troubles a little bit and does his fair share of spitting up! But, he seems to generally be happy and does tons of funny expressions and lots of sneezes. My favorite is when he "loses" his sneeze and kind of sighs. I'll have to try to get a video of it.

Well, I hope you've enjoyed the picture overload of our delish little guy and hope you've been having a great summer! Much love to you all, and thanks for your support and love!
