Pix of the Kids...

Well, let's see if I can figure this out! I thought I'd take a few pictures today to post, because I realized that I have not been taking a lot lately, so I didn't have a lot to choose from. Anyway, here are John and Sara cheesing for me in the backyard. I'm excited to be joining the blogging crowd, so we'll see what else we can come up with to post!

So We Started a Blog

After I read Melissa's comments about the Dark Knight, I felt obliged to start a blog for our family, primarily as a means to contest this base degradation of one of recent cinema's finest accomplishments. And to show pictures. On our way back from our recent trip to the cabin at Henry's Lake, we stopped in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, which is on the far western side of North Dakota. It's one of the lesser known National Parks, and there was some pretty cool stuff.

First, there were preserved prairie dog towns, which were huge. They looked like this:

The little dots are prairie dog dens. Prairie dogs look like this:

And they had a herd of wild horses which has been there since Native American times. We happened to run across the herd. Wild horses look like this:

And a picture Katelin took of me jumping out of a boat:

That's all for now. Katelin will pick it up from here with pictures of the kids (which I couldn't get to upload), witty commentary, etc.
